An Unforgettable Weekend at LoanDepot Park in Miami!
What a weekend. What a crowd. What a moment for La Gente del Barrio.
LGDB proudly brought the community together at LoanDepot Park for the 2025 Home Run Derby & Celebrity Softball Game, and the energy was nothing short of electric. From first pitch to final swing, the stadium was filled with passion, culture, and pure love for the game.
This wasn’t just an event — it was a celebration of community, heritage, and the power of sport to unite people from all walks of life.
A major highlight of this year’s event was the star-studded lineup competing in the Home Run Derby. These guys smashed balls and left everyone in awe. The official HRD participants were Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Junior Caminero, Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Soto, Oneil Cruz, Noelvi Marte, José Ramírez, Teoscar Hernández, and Elly De La Cruz and Ketel Marte. Their presence sets the tone for an unforgettable display of athleticism and star power on the field.
Additional MLB athletes attending the event included Anthony Santander, Gleyber Torres, Santiago Espinal, Julio Rodríguez, Ezequiel Tovar, Lourdes Gurriel Jr., and Miguel Rojas. Jorge Posada and Laura Posada will also participate, adding an iconic presence to an already star-studded event.
The entertainment lineup features Gente de Zona, Chef Yisus, Águeda López, Clarissa Molina, Adriana Cataño, Migbelis Castellanos, Tony Dandrades, Aly Sánchez, Jessica Rodríguez, Chef Adrianne, Carlos Adyan, Kodak Black, and Roberto Hernandez. Additional personalities joining the celebration include Rashel Diaz, Formula 1 driver Maite Cáceres, Maity Interiano, La Gatita de El Zol, Paulina Sodi, Carolina Sarassa, Satcha Pretto, Daniella Urbay, and Bonco Quinongo. Hosting duties will be carried out by Enrique Santos, Orlando León, and Gloria Ordaz.
“La Gente Del Barrio is a celebration of who we are, our athletes, our artists, and our people,” said Tito Lebrón, founder of La Gente Del Barrio. “This event is more than a game; it is our culture on the field. Every year we look for ways to elevate the experience and offer something our community can be proud of.”
Proceeds from the Home Run Derby and Celebrity Softball Game will support the La Gente del Barrio Foundation, the VG 27 Foundation founded by Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and additional charitable partners dedicated to youth development and community initiatives across Latin America, the United States and Canada.
